Kim Wilson was born in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in Goleta, California. It was in Goleta where Kim Wilson was introduced to the Goleta Boys & Girls Club and became a Club member. To this day Wilson recalls how the Club was a positive influence on him and shaped him to be the person he is today.
Wilson is a renowned American blues singer and harmonica player. Best known as the lead vocalist and frontman for Fabulous Thunderbirds with his hit songs of the 1980s, "Tuff Enuff" and "Wrap It Up."
